Company History/Information

  • Columbian Hardware Company, Cleveland, OH.
  • The Columbian Hardware Co. was located in Cleveland OH and made blacksmiths anvils from about 1905 to 1925. After that they distributed a Swedish made version of their anvil for about 2 years. During that time and until the 1990's they sold a small 10 pound bench or "craft" anvil as well as the famous Columbian ductile iron vises. Columbian anvils were a top quality cast steel anvil with a machined and heat treated face. (source)
