- Post-WWI through WWII they were very busy and manufactured for the Australian Defence Department
- 1959 Dawn acquired by G.N. Raymond Group
- 1973 Dawn acquired by Siddons Ramset Limited
- 1991 Dawn acquired by Stanley Works Pty. Ltd. (USA)
- 1998 Dawn moved back to Australia & is 100% Australian owned again.
