Years of Production

A note about "Years of Production"

In many cases, the things mentioned on this wiki are manufactured for many many years, but only a single year will appear in the "Years of Production" information. This is done when the entire year range is unknown. Say a specific tool has a manufacture date of 1956, the "Years of Production" may list only 1956 at first. Ideally, eventually, we will find out that this specific tool was made from 1952 through 1978 - but until we know a full span/range of years, this information will be potentially misleading. This is especially true when referring to things that are still presently made.

For example, Dawn Vises shows a Dawn 150 being produced in 2012 (since it is still available from their website). There may be many people that own one that was made long before 2012, but until we can figure out a beginning year of production, we don't know the full span of time.
